Sutton (Irish: Cill Fhionntáin - Fintan's cell) is a residential suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is located about 12 kilometres from the city centre at the base of the Howth peninsula. At the centre of Sutton is a tombolo which connects Howth to the mainland (Howth used to be an island). Sutton is surrounded by many beaches and is a popular place for golf and dinghy sailing. It is easily accessible from Dublin using the Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) suburban rail system.
